Sponsor a Smile is a new community service program created by the UConn chapter of ASDA (American Student Dental Association). Our mission is to biannually provide new toothbrushes and toothpaste to underprivileged students of a nearby elementary school. This year we're sponsoring Thirman Milner Elementary School in the North End of Hartford.
Not only is participating in the Hartford Marathon a good way to connect with our community, but it is also a way to inspire hope by raising funds and awareness to help children in need. Currently there are 578 students enrolled, and in order to supply them with oral health tools twice a year, our goal is to raise $2,000. We hope you'll consider donating to help them through these formative years.
